UPDATE 1-Chinese copper imports jump by 19.4 pct in May on year-customs data

SHANGHAI, June 8 (Reuters) - China's copper imports jumped

by 19.4 percent from the same month a year ago to 430,000 tonnes

in May, customs data showed on Wednesday, as term shipments

remained strong despite higher prices in overseas markets.
